A Journey of Service, Strength, and Leadership

On 15th of August, in the historic city of victory – the Vijayanagar, Shri M. Panduranga Rao, a dedicated Engineer, and Dr. S. D. Sulochana, a compassionate government doctor were blessed with a baby girl. Though the third among her siblings, she stood out from an early age — bold, active, talkative, and fiercely protective of her sisters.

Growing up in a close-knit joint family, she imbibed deep moral values and a strong sense of the importance of relationships. These early lessons in empathy, community, and resilience would later shape her life's mission.

Her educational journey began at St. Joseph's School in T.B. Dam and continued at Little Flower School, Hospet, where a pivotal moment awaited. It was here she was introduced to the Youth Social Movement (YSM) — a platform that sparked her passion for social service and began to nurture her natural leadership abilities. A proud alumna of Christ College, she earned her Master's degree in Sociology and further completed a Diploma in Business Administration from Delhi University. Among the strongest influences in her life is her mother, whom she calls her “university” — a lifelong guide and role model.
