P. Swetha Reddy stands as a shining example of commitment, compassion, and transforma􀆟onal leadership. As she takes charge as District Editor of Inner Wheel District 316 for the year 2025– 2026, she brings with her a legacy of impac􀆞ul service, grassroots leadership, and a deeply personal commitment to empowering women and upli􀅌ing communi􀆟es.

Born and raised in Bangalore as the youngest of five daughters, Swetha hails from a humble, value-driven family that ins􀆟lled in her the virtues of resilience, empathy, and hard work. Her life took a purposeful turn when she married into a dis􀆟nguished Rotary family in Anantapur. Her father-in-law, Late PDG Rtn. P. Bhaskar Reddy, served as District Governor of Rotary District 3160 (2000–2001), and her husband, Rtn. P. Keshav Reddy, currently serves as District Governor Nominee (DGN) of District 3160. Together, they have raised two accomplished daughters: Dr. Pooja Reddy, who is pursuing her M.S. in General Surgery in Hyderabad, and Ms. Sreeja Reddy, who recently completed her BBA and is preparing to enter the family business.

Swetha's journey with Inner Wheel spans over 25 years—a testament to her enduring passion for service and community involvement. Throughout this remarkable tenure, she has held various leadership roles, most notably serving as Club President five 􀆟mes—each term marked by innova􀆟on, empathy, and hands-on community impact.

Under her leadership, several capstone projects have been successfully conceptualized and implemented:

• Five Happy Schools: Focused on holis􀆟c development—renova􀆟on, sanita􀆟on, educa􀆟onal tools, and infrastructure that truly transform schools into nurturing learning environments.
• Construc􀆟on of a Bus Shelter: A permanent and public-serving structure in Anantapur, ensuring safety and dignity for daily commuters.
• Environmental Stewardship: Over 200 saplings planted under her leadership, with a strong focus on sustainability and green cover.
• Women Empowerment: Distribu􀆟on of 10 sewing machines to economically disadvantaged women to help them start their entrepreneurial journey.
• Educa􀆟on Empowerment: Dona􀆟on of three computers to aspiring girl students in rural areas, bridging the digital divide.
• Health and Hygiene: Installa􀆟on of water purifiers in orphanages, promo􀆟ng clean drinking water for vulnerable children.
• Ongoing Monthly Support to an Old Age Home: A sustained ini􀆟a􀆟ve running for over five years, providing essen􀆟al groceries and emo􀆟onal care to the elderly.
• What dis􀆟nguishes Swetha is her vision for impac􀆞ul, inclusive service and her passionate advocacy for women’s independence and dignity. She firmly believes that service is not an act, but a way of life, and every ini􀆟a􀆟ve she undertakes is infused with empathy and excellence. Her projects not only meet needs—they create opportuni􀆟es, foster hope, and build selfreliance.

With her dynamic spirit, a􀆩en􀆟on to detail, and deep understanding of grassroots needs, she is expected to set a new benchmark in communica􀆟on, engagement, and outreach. Her year will be a celebra􀆟on of womanhood, and a strong march towards empowerment, equality, and eleva􀆟on.
